The characteristics of power cables, whether land cables or submarine cables, AC cables or DC cables, are as follows: the voltage level ranges from lkV to 500kV, and the current voltage level tends to be higher; The specification range is wide, from 1.5 mm to 3500 mm, and now tends to be larger conductor cross-section. Power cable is not only widely used in distribution network, but also an important foundation and indispensable product for power transmission of backbone network. The transmission capacity is becoming larger and larger, and the operation safety and reliability are becoming more and more important. People not only pay attention to the quality improvement and technical improvement of power cables and accessories, but also study the reliability of power cable system operation, including the electrical factors, mechanical factors, temperature and environmental factors of the system, as well as the mutual integration and coordination; It also pays more attention to the economy and durability of the power cable system operation, including the transmission capacity, loss, maintenance cost of the cable system and the rapid recovery capability in emergency.
